Syracuse National Trial Competition
October 20-22, 2023
We are pleased to announce the teams selected for the Fifth Annual Syracuse National Trial Competition (SNTC), which will take place October 20-22, 2023.
This is an invitational tournament open to all ABA-accredited law schools. A minimum of 12 schools will be invited based on the quality of a school’s advocacy program and on wide geographic diversity.
The tournament will provide students with the opportunity to develop and display the skills of a trial lawyer. Students will conduct opening statements, direct and cross-examinations, and closing arguments. The advocates will be judged by distinguished members of the bench and bar from all over the country. Individual awards will be given for student performances.
Each school may enter one team of four advocates/witnesses, and each team will be guaranteed to participate in four full trials.
The deadline to apply is June 2, 2023. We expect invitations will be announced on June 9, 2023. The competition fact pattern will be distributed to participating schools in August 2023. For more information, visit the SNTC webpage. The registration fee is $750.
