Syracuse Law’s Mentoring in Action Program (MAP) provides students a holistic law school experience, establishing support and guidance for their successful academic careers and their preparation as legal professionals.
This comprehensive and layered program provides students with peer, faculty, and alumni mentors to serve as resources throughout their legal education. The program has been developed and launched by the College of Law Student Mentoring Committee.
First-Year Mentoring Program
Through the First Year Mentoring Program, every entering first year J.D. and LL.M. student is assigned a Faculty Mentor and a Peer Mentor.
Alumni Mentoring Program
In their second year, students can elect to participate in the Alumni Mentoring Program. All J.D. students are offered the opportunity to be matched, either individually or in small groups, with an Alumni Mentor.
