Prashanth (PJ) Jayachandran L’98, G’98 is Senior Vice President, Division General Counsel for Colgate North America.  Jayachandran is a Distinguished Lecturer teaching Corporate Sustainability in the JDinteractive program.

As Division General Counsel, Jayachandran serves as the lead lawyer for Colgate’s North America business, providing legal advice in the areas of marketing, sales, regulatory, litigation, sustainability, and supply chain.

In his previous roles for Colgate, Jayachandran served as Chief Supply Chain Counsel, Chief Human Resources & Benefits Counsel, and Division General Counsel (interim) for Colgate Asia.

Before joining Colgate in 2013, Jayachandran practiced labor and employment law for multiple firms for 15 years, specializing in employment litigation and counseling for global corporations.  Jayachandran spent approximately 10 years at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, based in Princeton, NJ.

He earned a J.D. degree from Syracuse University College of Law and a master’s from Syracuse University Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs in 1998 and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1995.
