Meet Jonathan Andrade
Jonathan Andrade served as a police officer for the Oakland Police Department for almost seven years. Following his medical retirement due to injuries sustained during his career, he is pursuing a law degree so that he can return to working in the legal field. He is interested in criminal law and is aspiring to become a deputy district attorney and/or state prosecutor.
We asked Jonathan to share more about his journey and what he hopes to bring to the legal profession.
What is your hometown?
I am from Pleasanton, California.
What are your goals for your future in the field of law?
I am looking to continue to serve others in a legal capacity in a way that I feel has meaningful and tangible effects. I aspire to be a county and/or state prosecutor so that I can continue to assist victims and pursue justice on their behalf. I hope to represent others and serve them to the best of my ability.
How do you expect your professional/military/industry background to shape the kind of lawyer you become?
In both my positions as a police officer and with Chick-fil-A, service to others is at the heart of both. Selfless service and servant leadership are principles that I will carry with me as a lawyer and remain at the heart of what I do.
