Meet Mary Wilson ‘10
Mary Wilson ‘10 is an editorial producer at LinkedIn with a background in broadcast journalism and digital media. As a 2010 graduate of Syracuse University and a 2016 graduate of the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, she later became a producer for NBC's TODAY Show. At LinkedIn, she produces editorial content and interviews with leaders including Pres. Barack Obama, Serena Williams, and Oprah Winfrey. She is pursuing her J.D. to continue empowering others through legal advocacy.

My hometown is Bay Shore, New York.
What are your goals for your future in the field of law?
My goal for my future in the field of law is to build on my career as a journalist by advocating for others and providing thoughtful counsel. I hope to draw on my experience making complex topics and issues accessible to diverse audiences and collaborating with individuals and organizations across industries. Ultimately, I want to use those skills to make a meaningful impact through the law and help others make informed decisions.
How do you expect your background to shape the kind of lawyer you become?
My background in journalism has taught me to listen carefully, ask questions with purpose, and work to my best ability to understand different perspectives. As a lawyer, I expect these experiences to shape me into a strong litigator who approaches each matter attentively with curiosity and an open mind.
