Learn About Jenny
Jenny Oh L’26 is the first Korean graduate of Syracuse University College of Law’s JDinteractive (JDi) program. She is the CEO of Yullim Partners Co., Ltd. and Director of External Relations at VCA Seoul. At a pivotal point in her career and while preparing for marriage, Jenny discovered JDi, a program that allowed her to pursue a U.S. legal education from Korea without stepping away from her professional or personal commitments.
What defined Jenny’s JDi experience was the genuine respect and support she received from both faculty and classmates. The faculty understood that JDi students were balancing demanding careers, families, and legal studies. As one example, she remembers Professor James Baker, who taught her National Security Law, taking time out of his own schedule to personally support her in pursuing an externship opportunity in Korea.
Her classmates also became more than peers; they became a close-knit community of professionals who understood the demands each of them was navigating. To Jenny, the Class of 2026 was truly special. Today, Jenny works with young Koreans pursuing educational and professional opportunities in the United States. Her J.D. expanded her professional network and the perspective she brings to this work. She believes law is a language that touches every industry.
For Korean professionals who once believed that distance, career, or family made an American J.D. impossible, Jenny hopes her experience offers a different possibility.
