The Hon. James E. Baker has been named a Distinguished Fellow at the Transatlantic Security Initiative of the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security.
He is a member of three Working Groups: Arctic Security, Defense Industrial Base, and NATO. Distinguished Fellows provide input to the Council in their areas of expertise, participate in and contribute to conferences, write and contribute to reports, and represent the Council when they are overseas.
“It is an honor to be a Distinguished Fellow at the Atlantic Council because it is a, if not the, leading U.S. think tank and institutional thought leader in NATO and Arctic security. The Atlantic Council is also the think tank associated with Brent Scowcroft, a two-time National Security Advisor, Air Force general, a patriot, and model national security practitioner,” said Baker.
Baker is the director of the Syracuse University Institute for Security Policy and Law and a professor at the Syracuse College of Law and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. He also serves as a judge on the Data Protection Review Court.
