5th Annual Black History Month Dinner & Awards Ceremony

This year’s theme is “Harlem Renaissance: the African Diaspora’s Impact on Arts, Culture, and Law”. The ceremony will commemorate the immersion of arts within the legal field, while also highlighting the achievements of our very own College of Law community. The Past, Present, and Future of the Disability Law and Policy Program (DLPP)

Founded by Professor Arlene Kanter and now under the leadership of Professor Katherine Macfarlane, DLPP is the most extensive disability-related law school program in the United States. Join us as our faculty, alumni and students come together to reminisce about the impact the program has had, share stories of success, and discuss what the future holds for DLPP. In celebration of the historic DLPP program, we will also honor Professor Arlene Kanter for her years of disability-focused teaching, scholarship, and advocacy as she prepares for retirement from Syracuse Law. A special reception, with light food and drink, will follow the talk.
