At the College of Law, we understand the power of hands-on, practical lawyering experience.

Our curriculum offers ample opportunities for hands-on experiential learning, skills-building, and professional development. We do this through innovative coursework, our clinics and externship program, and our nationally ranked trial advocacy program.

Through these offering students gain understanding of how our legal system functions on the ground, including by working with practicing lawyers in diverse legal settings. Students also have the opportunity to build key lawyering skills such as client interviewing and counseling skills, legal writing writing and drafting skills, and oral advocacy skills.
