Professor Greenberg has a B.A. from Bates College and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Syracuse University, and began in private law practice in Syracuse in 1990. He has significant experience in civil rights Section 1983 actions, mostly involving matters of police misconduct. He also has had significant focus on plaintiff’s personal injury actions. He has litigated cases in state and federal court throughout upstate New York.
His general practice experience involved criminal litigation, real estate transactions and litigation, estate matters including litigation, as well as experience in the family courts of Central New York. He has done extensive work representing children as a law guardian in matters including juvenile delinquency, persons in need of supervision, abuse and neglect, and custody.
Professor Greenberg was also the associate director of the Lockerbie Trial Families Project at Syracuse College of Law.
